Bullying is a disease that has been running through our veins since ancient times.
Bullying isn't anything new.
Still, what is bullying?
Bullying is unwanted aggressive behavior, mostly among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance.
Its been running along since the beginning of time.
Lets start up by sizing down the history a bit.
The British empire actually began to take shape during the mid 17th century. The main cause of this was that the empire was jealous of the resources and profits garnered by other prosperous countries. To this, they had a simple solution, hegemonize those countries, suck the life out of 'em.
Why?
Because we have the power to do so.
Their conquest went on for about two centuries were the devoured many harmonious nations.
All of us are familiar with this term. We have seen it tons of times in our textbooks. Its been around for a long time and the worst part is that it is still practiced in some parts of the world. Black slavery forms the biggest part of it. Slaves were bought for measly amounts. Hell! Pet animals were sold at three fold prices! Why were these people made slaves? Back then, the white men outweighed them in arms, so they could easily subjugate them and they did.
Here, bullying is divided into a rather sophisticated order, from a nation ruling political party to kids being bullied at schools and lets not forget cyber bullying. There have been many reports on it but fewer measures taken.
Many don't notice but it all begins at home. The way a parent treats a waiter at a restaurant, or the garbage collector or any other person who works under them, you may be trying to keep an order at times but they send out a wrong message to your kids and others who grow up watching your actions and unconsciously these are engraved on their minds.
Bullying is basically what people with insecurities do, so they look might in front of others but what they don't realise is that they're making it more obvious every time they bully someone. You don't go up against someone unless they intimidate you. So next time you bully someone, remember, it you who making a fool out of himself.
The reason I decided to post about bullying was after watching this video posted by Oakz.
Here, in this video you can see the bully relentlessly hitting a totally defenseless BLIND KID. How can you even make up your mind to hit a blind kid?!
The crowd just stood there watching as he hit the blind kid and when a guy came to the rescue the crowed jumped on him. They started questioning the rescuers actions. This is exactly where the problem lies.
